Mechanical Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Provide Mechanical Engineering expertise to the Project Engineering team.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects across the site, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Develop concepts into detailed specifications for a broad range of manufacturing equipment.
  • Lead multiple engineering projects to ensure achievement of time, cost, and performance targets.
  • Create and maintain mechanical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
  • Conduct tender analysis and validation.
  • Contribute to the safe operation of the site, utilizing industry-standard risk assessment techniques, issuing, and controlling safe systems of work permits.

Mechanical Project Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Project Engineer with a Mechanical background.
  • Project engineering experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Project management experience within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in design and specification of industrial chemical processes or similar.
  • AUTOCAD or Inventor CAD experience required.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and control capital projects.
  • ATEX & commissioning experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience of industry-standard risk assessment techniques such as HAZOP, FMEA.
