Job Description

Job Title: Senior Day Operations Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Location: East London

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Benefits

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Day Operations Manager to join our client's senior management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all production equipment and site services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a mixture of hands-on and hands-off engineering tasks
  • Support shift engineers to resolve problems, delegate workload, and engineering plans
  • Part of the senior management duty manager team on their 1 in 4 weeks call out rota
  • Resolving plant issues, PPM's, project work
  • Managing contractors, suppliers, CI planning, spares/parts ordering, inventory control
  • Attending meetings and shift handovers, lean manufacturing implementation, reliability engineering
  • Be the engineering team's CMMS super user
  • Asset care management plans
  • Lead CI activities - drive change, conduct training, project work installations

Requirements:

  • Must be a hands-on experienced technical expert in engineering
  • Role would suit an experienced engineering team manager
  • Ideally be a multi-skilled, mechanically biased engineer
  • Able to show leadership qualities, strong character, decision maker
  • Happy being part of the senior management team, on the duty manager on-call rota
  • Must have worked in food manufacturing previously
  • Worked with CMMS systems
  • Knowledge of implementing new PPM plans, processes, and procedures
  • Project management experience - leading CI activities, machine installations, and planning
