About the Role

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver anaesthesia services for a range of surgical specialties, including elective and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anaesthesia services, including the creation of protocols and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • FRCA or equivalent qualification.
  • CCT or equivalent qualification (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC).
  • Broad-based general experience in anaesthesia.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Other postgraduate qualifications.
  • Experience at consultant level.
  • Specialist skills or experience.
  • Higher training or experience in vascular anaesthesia.
  • Higher training or experience in obstetric anaesthesia.
  • Higher training or experience in paediatric anaesthesia.
  • Out-of-programme experience in a clinical area relevant to the job.
  • Evidence of taking consultant-level responsibility.
