Position Overview: This opportunity is situated within the Finance division of News UK, offering a hybrid work model that allows flexibility between remote work and office presence. The role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: As a Finance Transformation Change Leader, you will be instrumental in driving a significant overhaul of our Finance Systems. This is a unique chance to contribute to a major project that aims to enhance our financial operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating robust relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the adoption of new operational methodologies.
  • Crafting and executing comprehensive change management strategies that resonate with impacted audiences.
  • Collaborating with project teams to establish a network of change advocates across the organization.
  • Conducting thorough assessments to gauge the impact of changes and developing strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Formulating and implementing action plans to mitigate risks associated with the transformation.
  • Analyzing communication needs and partnering with the communications team to ensure timely and effective messaging.
  • Identifying training requirements and coordinating with training teams to meet these needs.
  • Evaluating the organization’s readiness for change and advising on necessary transition activities.
  • Monitoring and managing the realization of benefits across affected business functions.
  • Supporting the transition phase and ensuring continuity of operations during critical periods.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues related to the change process.
  • Collaborating closely with other program leaders to align change management efforts with overall project goals.
  • Providing guidance and training on change management methodologies to stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with other initiatives within the organization to manage interdependencies effectively.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in leading change management initiatives within complex finance transformation projects.
  • A solid understanding of finance processes and systems, including experience with S/4 HANA.
  • A recognized change management certification, preferably PROSCI.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Extensive experience in conducting change impact assessments and developing integrated change plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a focus on building supportive relationships across the organization.
