Job Summary:
As a Lead ICT Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with the Senior Architect (Chief Technical Architect) to provide enterprise-level design and support for a variety of ICT initiatives.
Your expertise is essential in maintaining secure and efficient infrastructure systems.Key Responsibilities:
Design and Documentation:
Create comprehensive documentation of current and future architectural designs for various projects, including architecture diagrams and data sets to effectively communicate changes.
Strategic Integration:
Collaborate across multiple projects to ensure alignment with the strategic vision and document any technical debt.
Technical Assessment:
Conduct technical experiments to validate design choices.
Governance and Documentation:
Ensure all architectural dependencies between projects are clearly understood, documented, and accepted.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Foster and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training materials, and mentor team members to achieve operational objectives.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Security Knowledge:
Familiarity with Government Security Classifications and the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework.
Architectural Methodologies:
Proficient in utilizing TOGAF for system design.
Frameworks:
Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
Documentation Skills:
Ability to produce design documentation for accreditation and collaborate with accreditors to meet security standards.
Technical Expertise:
Microsoft Technologies:
Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, High Availability services, and PKI design.
Network Architecture:
Knowledge of Cisco Routing/Switches, TCP/IP, and Network Services (DNS/DHCP/NTP).
Cloud Solutions:
Familiarity with AWS and AzureAD, including Office 365 Services.
Virtualization Technologies:
Experience with VMware.
Software Development:
Proficient in .NET (VB, C#, ASP.NET, .NET CORE), MVC Framework, Python, and JavaScript (REACT, Bootstrap).
Business Process Documentation:
Ability to document processes using BPMN or similar frameworks.
Project Management Understanding:
Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications:
Certifications:
TOGAF qualification and ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certification.
Driving License:
UK full driving license.
