Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Brontide Consulting. As a key member of our Mechanical and Electrical (ME) engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for a variety of projects across all building sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for building projects, including lighting calculations and electrical preliminary and tender drawing packages.
  • Assist in producing Electrical Services Specification documents for Tender Issue.
  • Attend online meetings and site meetings to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Survey existing M&E installations and produce snagging reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects.
  • Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities and review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.
Requirements:
  • Higher Certification (HNC) in Building Services or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience in Building Services Industry.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or other industry software packages including Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Preferable: experience in Dilux and other electrical software packages.
  • Own a car and able to drive.
