Job Summary:

KiddyKare is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Room Leader for our busy pre-school in Basingstoke. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a program of activities tailored to the age range of children in your care, in collaboration with other staff members.
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive team dynamic.
  • Prepare and execute activities that cater to the developmental needs of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Ensure the room is set up and organized for the children each morning, with toys and equipment stored correctly.
  • Organize a schedule for wall displays, ensuring each display board is updated at least every six weeks.
  • Plan and execute creative activities, ensuring all children take home their creations.
  • Effectively manage staff, ensuring ratios are maintained throughout the setting.
  • Work with assigned students and their supervisor, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Early Years settings, preferably with a recognized Level 3 Childcare qualification.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, colleagues, advisors, and parents/carers.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding protocols.
