Design and Technology Technician Opportunity

Accelerate Teaching is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design and Technology (DT) Technician to support the teaching and learning of DT in a thriving secondary school in Kirklees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality practical DT lessons, including setting up equipment and materials.
  • Maintain and organise tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in excellent working order.
  • Support the safe and efficient running of workshops, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students during practical sessions.
  • Assist in the procurement and management of materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a DT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations within a workshop environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for Design and Technology and a commitment to supporting students' learning.
