Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team as a Technology Category Expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a category-led buying approach from tactical buying to strategic multi-year procurements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead sourcing activity: Utilize established negotiation, benchmarking, strategic sourcing techniques, and sustainability policies to deliver sourcing activity to assigned projects and categories.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders: Work with DCC Directors and Executives to set and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for assigned procurement projects, ranging up to £100m+.
- Provide procurement expertise: Offer thought leadership and procurement advice on sourcing models to meet the different needs of the business, from catalogue and auctions through to complex multi-year transformational procurements.
- Significant experience: Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in the Technology category, with a strong understanding of the sector.
- Complex project management: Experience running highly complex, high-value projects and contracts, with a focus on delivering results.
- Research and analytical skills: Strong research and analytical capabilities, particularly in supply market research, spend analysis, business requirements analysis, and bidder response evaluation.
- Regulated environment: Experience working in a highly regulated environment, ideally with experience in both the Public and Private Sector.
