Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting nursing staff in all aspects of clinical care. This includes stock maintenance, cleaning, and management of equipment.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This includes cleaning and disinfecting equipment, furniture, and floors, as well as restocking supplies and managing waste.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting nursing staff with clinical tasks, such as preparing equipment and supplies, and assisting with patient care.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Good knowledge of infection control processes
  • Customer service experience
  • Basic computer literacy (IT skills)
  • Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Equality and diversity awareness

Desirable

  • Housekeeper experience
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to work independently as well as being part of the team

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of care work within a similar role

Desirable

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of stock balance
