Castlefield Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join a Public Sector organization in a 6-month contract. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading procurement projects to achieve cashable savings and added value opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and improve efficiency
- Manage tender documentation and processes above threshold, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver procurement strategy and support category management
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure best value for the organization
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking activities to inform procurement decisions
- Advise on procurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Public Sector, preferably in a procurement or category management role
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, including PCR2015
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- MCIPS or working towards certification desirable
- Availability to start at short notice
