Janitorial Assistant

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Pontypridd to assist with the appointment of a Janitorial Assistant, on a 1-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £14.41 per hour

Hours Per Week: 7.50

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all internal areas of the school.
• Each individual will be assigned a designated area to work in daily.
• This may include:
  • Toilets, corridors, staff rooms, classrooms, school halls, indoor sports areas/ changing rooms, offices, and communal areas.
  • Breakdown of cleaning tasks may vary depending on the individual area, but may include:
    • Sanitizing toilet areas, toilets, sinks, flooring, soap dispensers, hand dryers, cubicles, and pipework.
    • General cleaning of rooms and communal areas, including hoovering or sweeping and mopping, skirting boards, window cills, and hard furnishings such as shelves and desks.
    • Sport areas/ changing rooms: sanitizing shower areas and cubicles.
    • Staff rooms: sanitizing sink and work surface areas, floors, and any hard furnishings.
    • Wastebins throughout buildings to be emptied.
    • In some areas, a scrubber dryer machine may be provided.

• Candidates should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
