SALARY: STARTING £25K RISING TO £30K AFTER 6 MONTHS, THEN £32.5K AFTER ANOTHER 6 MONTHS.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Graduate/ Product Financial Controller, you will:

  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality and consistent financial, statutory, and management reporting outputs.
  • Adhere to relevant policies and regularly assess the adequacy and effectiveness of business controls.
  • Perform reconciliations, accounting, management information, and control activities to support ledger closure and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Daily Tasks Include:

  • Participating in various committees as an attendee or member.
  • Supporting or leading change initiatives and process improvements.
  • Preparing month-end accounting tasks, including journal preparation and account reconciliation.
  • Investigating process or system issues.
  • Leading systems testing, such as user acceptance testing and process improvement initiatives.
  • Providing assistance to internal and external auditors throughout the reporting period.

Important Note: Please be aware that, like most graduate schemes, there will be a training bond associated with this position. This bond will only be payable if you choose to leave the graduate scheme before the completion of the 18-month period. This serves as an assurance to ensure candidates are committed to the opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Experience in core financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including ledger closure and statutory reporting.
  • Strong data and Excel skills; knowledge of Tableau is a plus.
  • Willingness to explore current and future finance technologies such as Oracle, Tableau, or Python.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, or an accounting qualification is preferred.
