Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at TechnipFMC. As a Senior Engineer - Metallics Components Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering team, focusing on the design and development of metallic tubes and providing technical support for both tube and umbilical design issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop metallic tubes and umbilicals, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, design rules, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for tube and umbilical design issues, including review and verification of engineering documents.
  • Develop and maintain design rules, drawings, reports, analyses, calculations, instructions, procedures, specifications, and design plans associated with metallic tube products.
  • Support other Development Engineers in their work, utilizing experience to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Liaise directly with internal and external clients, manufacturers, and suppliers to agree on final designs and resolve engineering issues.
  • Gain a deep understanding of TechnipFMC products through development projects, investigations, observations, modeling, background reading, and consultation with experts.
  • Review metallic tube design umbilicals with respect to materials of construction to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assess the acceptability of defects on Super Duplex Steel Tubing and butt welds that join them.
  • Be responsible for TechnipFMC's approach to reliability and interact with other experts to keep the approach aligned and up-to-date.
  • Provide support and service to other departments, sites, and group corporate organizations.
  • Participate in consolidation and development activities associated with metallic tube products.
  • Ensure compliance with company, departmental, and quality and management procedures and systems.
  • Analyze and comment on customer requirements, specifications, and contract documentation.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in engineering/research.
  • Mathematical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of computerized systems, including AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer, Mathcad, and FE software.
  • Integrity and defect assessment experience is an advantage.
