Job Title: HVAC Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team at ISS. As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and building services at our client's properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, test equipment, and a motor vehicle.
  • Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation, and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and wiring systems.
  • Test and examine boiler operations, observing meter and pressure gauges.
  • Lubricate and pack heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment.
  • Install and calibrate systems, install copper tubing, and repair pipes and tubing as necessary.
  • Maintain related records concerning time, labour, and materials.

Requirements:

  • Qualified HVAC Technician/Licensed HVAC Technician.
  • F-Gas License.
  • Security clearance to a high government level will be required.
  • Knowledge of standard practices of the HVAC and refrigeration trade and theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to HVAC, refrigeration, and boilers.
