Literature Instructor Role

Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear

  • Salary: £120 - £180 per day
  • Contract: Full Time, Temporary

GSL Education is in search of a passionate Literature Instructor to become part of a vibrant educational institution in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. The selected individual will be tasked with delivering the literature curriculum to learners, fostering their love for language and literary analysis.

Job Overview:

  • Deliver literature instruction to students across various grades to improve their writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Inspire students through a variety of literary works to encourage analytical thinking.
  • Design and execute lesson plans that meet educational objectives and accommodate the diverse needs of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate development.
  • Prepare students for assessments in accordance with educational standards.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators to develop teaching materials and engage in departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
  • Prior experience in teaching English at the secondary education level.
  • Proficient command of the English language and a genuine passion for literature.

It is essential for candidates to possess a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols. Successful applicants must complete all required background checks, including an enhanced DBS registration or demonstrate a willingness to obtain one.
