Position Purpose

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a vital role in transporting clinical and industrial waste efficiently and safely. You will ensure adherence to all legal compliance requirements, including EU Working Time Directive (EU hours) and ADR Transportation Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily schedules according to agreed routes and timings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to drivers' hours and WTD, complying with both legislative requirements and company procedures.
  • Adhere to all statutory regulations concerning the Road Traffic Act, driver's hours, digital Tachograph records, vehicle weight limits, and speed limits.
  • Comply with all relevant ADR/Hazardous goods legislation requirements.
  • Follow company standard operating procedures diligently.
  • Provide excellent customer service at delivery points, interacting professionally with customers and road users.
  • Participate in work instructions, trainings, and staff meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to various shift patterns and working times.
  • Report any accidents or incidents promptly and complete all necessary company documentation accurately.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks before each use and report any defects to the Service Coordinators.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid LGV Class 1 Licence (with C+E entitlement), Driver CPC, and Digi Card.
  • Preferred: ADR Training.
