We are seeking a highly skilled Category Management Specialist to join our team at Alexander Steele Recruitment. As a Category Management Specialist, you will play a key role in driving customer and category strategies to influence key category levers such as range, merchandising, and pricing and promotions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement customer and category strategies to drive business growth and improve market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external customer teams to ensure insights are at the heart of all decision-making and initiatives.
- Provide expertise on the market, category, and shopper to identify risks and opportunities for customers and the business.
- Work closely with the commercial and brand team to provide insights into market activity and enable specific recommendations based on highlighted trends.
- Analyze NPD launches and activity, making recommendations for future innovation and activation.
- Conduct regular store visits and collate key market insights, including promotions, merchandising changes, NPD, and cross-category insights.
- Create reports and perform market audits to assist in category and business growth.
- 4 years of previous experience in a Category Management role within FMCG.
- Excellent data interpretation and analysis skills, with the ability to pull out key insights and actionable recommendations.
- Expert knowledge of market data platforms such as Nielsen and Kantar.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to present in an engaging manner to a variety of stakeholders.
- Highly proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate and present data.
- Ability to multitask and work well both independently and as part of a team.
