Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our team on Bluebell B Ward, a respiratory and endocrinology ward at BHRUT Hospitals. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and leadership to the ward, working closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to manage the clinical area and ensure high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership to the ward, working closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to manage the clinical area and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, and act as a role model to junior staff, undertaking performance management as required.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for a group of patients and the whole ward for the duration of the shift.
  • Provide holistic nursing care to clients within Bluebell B Ward.
  • Develop personally and professionally as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team and undertake appraisal annually.
  • Act as a role model to junior colleagues and provide teaching and mentorship as required.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe environment and report any potential or actual problems to the line manager and/or Matron as appropriate.

  • Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrates evidence of commitment to professional development

Desirable Criteria

  • Teaching and Assessing Course
  • Relevant respiratory knowledge and experience
  • Recent experience working at Band 6 level

Skills/Abilities

  • Commitment to continuing educational development
