Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Retinal Screening Photographer. As a key member of our Diabetic Eye Screening Programme, you will be responsible for providing high-quality visual acuity examinations and digital photography services to patients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with our Diabetic Eye Screening team to ensure the smooth delivery of our screening services. The successful candidate will be given comprehensive training to ensure they are competent in administering patient eye drops and performing visual acuity tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visual acuity examinations and digital photography services to patients
  • Administer patient eye drops and perform visual acuity tests
  • Work closely with the Diabetic Eye Screening team to ensure the smooth delivery of screening services
  • Complete a Health Screener Diploma in Retinal Screening within 4 months of appointment
Requirements
  • Good standard of general education to GCSE level, including Maths and English Language
  • Experience of working in a patient/public-facing environment
  • Polite telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
