London, Greater London, United Kingdom Third Bridge Full time

Job Overview

This position is part of our Funds division, focusing on our Public Equities and Credit clientele.

The Public Equities and Credit sector is characterized by rapid growth and a dynamic, results-oriented atmosphere. As an Associate, you will play a crucial role in generating revenue by facilitating connections between our clients and industry experts who can provide valuable insights. Following an initial training phase, where you will refine your skills in identifying, sourcing, and evaluating relevant specialists, you will begin to manage your own portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will involve extensive communication with both clients to ascertain their needs and with industry specialists to identify the best candidates for their inquiries. The essence of this role is to uncover client requirements and thoroughly assess whether the experts we engage possess the necessary knowledge to address their questions.

Key Responsibilities

Comprehend the needs of Public Equity and Credit clients and identify the most suitable experts to assist them. Provide exceptional client service by being a responsive, thoughtful, and proactive research partner. Connect with industry specialists on behalf of our clients by reaching out via phone to determine their suitability. Negotiate and persuade experts to engage with our clients promptly, scheduling discussions as quickly as possible while adhering to our industry-leading compliance standards. After a few months, you will be responsible for the long-term success of your client portfolio by understanding their research needs and continuously monitoring how our offerings can best support them.

Professional Development

At Third Bridge, we are dedicated to fostering growth and development for all employees, starting from day one and continuing throughout your career. Our comprehensive onboarding program includes both classroom instruction and practical learning experiences that will equip you with the essential knowledge of our business, client perspectives, and effective strategies for securing expert engagement across various industry sectors.

You will also develop skills in identifying industry specialists and enhancing your communication abilities to engage effectively with senior professionals over the phone.

Typically, after 4 to 6 months in your journey with Third Bridge, you will have mastered Specialist Management and will progress to our Client Engagement Learning Program, where you will take on responsibilities related to client relationship management and project oversight. You will learn how to interact with investor and management consulting clients, drive business outcomes, and lead project delivery teams.

Potential Career Advancement

Your promotion to a Senior Associate will be based on your performance against established goals. At this stage, you will have the opportunity to select your career path:

Manager Track, where you will begin our Emerging Leaders program to cultivate your leadership skills and have the chance to apply for a managerial position. Client Development Track, where you will continue to refine your client engagement abilities and unlock greater bonus earning potential.

Skills Development in Your First Year

Relationship Building: Expand your network and cultivate relationships with Public Equity and Credit clients and industry experts by delivering a premium customer experience.

Account Growth: Gain insights into the workflow of Public Equity and Credit clients and their long-term investment strategies, enabling proactive management of overall account performance.

Commercial Acumen: Learn to navigate corporate structures, sector value chains, and key stakeholders. Identify critical drivers and dynamics to understand your client's knowledge gaps and engage with industry experts. Gain foundational knowledge of the investment landscape and the mindset of decision-makers in this field.

Sales Effectiveness: Develop your persuasion and negotiation skills by learning how to effectively pitch to senior industry executives, encouraging them to engage with clients and negotiate terms. You will also learn how to persuade clients to connect with the experts you identify as ideal for their research needs.

Time Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and adapting to changing client requests. Prioritization and context-switching are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Stakeholder Management: Enhance your interpersonal skills as you collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and develop sourcing strategies for client requests.

Desired Qualifications

What We Seek:

The work environment is fast-paced, requiring you to handle multiple requests daily with tight deadlines and high standards, necessitating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while adhering to compliance protocols. You will be responsible for building relationships with our Public Equities clients and a diverse range of industry experts, so strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to adapt your communication style are essential. Your projects will span various industries and regions, requiring a high-level understanding of each. A passion for learning and the ability to quickly grasp key information to deliver optimal results are crucial. An interest in financial markets and the dynamics affecting our Public Equities clients is important, as you will need to stay informed about their research directions. Our services are in high demand, and we work towards targets, so we seek individuals who thrive in a hands-on, high-performance, results-oriented role and are motivated to exceed client expectations. Teamwork is vital; you will collaborate with colleagues both locally and internationally to execute projects. With a culture focused on feedback and open communication, we value individuals who are committed to continuous professional development.
