Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Willcox Matthews Ltd. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
  2. Coordinate daily build activities with the Operations Lead, including contractors and management.
  3. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks.
  4. Support the development and implementation of engineering changes and address material issues.
  5. Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective job and manpower planning.
  6. Track and communicate technical issues with engineering and project management to resolve and close open issues.
  7. Develop and lead strong KPIs with performance measurables, regularly reviewed with the team.
  8. Support the development and preparation of commercial and technical offers that comply with customer requests.
Requirements:
  1. Flexibility to travel within Europe and beyond.
  2. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  3. Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma/Certificate of Qualification and/or applicable work experience.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, AutoCAD, and Visual Manufacturing System.
  5. Previous experience in Assembly Automation/Advanced Machining/Tooling with an automotive company.
  6. Previous experience with the manufacture of assembly cells (desirable).
  7. Project management qualification (desirable).
  8. 2 years relevant work experience in automotive/manufacturing (desirable).
