About the Role

We are seeking an experienced commercial co-founder to join our team at Deep Science Ventures. As a Co-Founder in Residence, you will work closely with our team to co-found and spin-out a new company focused on enabling secure and scalable geological CO2 storage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business strategy for the new venture, leveraging your expertise in commercial and technical domains.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and secure funding opportunities, including pre-seed investment and potential follow-on funding.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, including hiring, training, and mentoring key personnel.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and regulators.
  • Drive the development and implementation of a scalable and secure CO2 storage solution, working closely with our technical team.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-growth enterprises, with a strong background in commercial and technical domains.
  • Experience in fundraising, corporate governance, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong appreciation of health and safety, social impact, and environmental concerns.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge of the CDR and climate-tech sectors, specifically commercial and regulatory constraints.
What We Offer
