Position Overview

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer seeking a new opportunity? Do you possess a strong background in production and manufacturing processes?

We are in search of a Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of our expanding CMS2 team. This role presents an excellent chance to engage with a progressive team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and custom engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be integral to our specialized engineering solutions division, where we design and implement life-support systems in critical environments, including oxygen and carbon capture technologies, water purification systems, rugged electronics for extreme conditions, and precision engineering of high-integrity apparatus.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Establishing, configuring, and testing complex process equipment.
  • Conducting pneumatic and hydraulic pressure assessments of high- and low-pressure vessels in compliance with relevant directives.
  • Performing electrical evaluations on low and high voltage circuits, including insulation resistance and earth bond testing, utilizing oscilloscopes for signal analysis.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
  • Enhancing and refining testing methodologies, including prototyping initiatives.
  • Maintaining a log of issues for continuous improvement and lessons learned.
  • Traveling to various locations to support national programs.
  • Occasionally traveling internationally to assist global clients.
  • Adhering to 5S practices and complying with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess an NVQ/HNC or higher qualification in engineering or a relevant engineering apprenticeship (e.g., BEng, MEng, HND).
  • Demonstrated experience in testing and commissioning within a highly regulated sector is preferred.
  • Strong dedication to health, safety, environmental standards, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and procedural documents.
  • Proficient hands-on skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Capable of working effectively within a team and under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, sometimes on short notice.
