JOB DESCRIPTION

The SmartPlant P&ID Applications Specialist plays a crucial role in the configuration and upkeep of the SmartPlant P&ID database, ensuring alignment with project requirements throughout its lifecycle until it is handed over to the client.

This position also focuses on recognizing application improvements and integrating with other SmartPlant tools to optimize project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the SmartPlant P&ID Applications Specialist for various projects
  • Tailor the SPIDD database to meet client specifications
  • Act as the primary contact for technical and drafting inquiries
  • Facilitate communication between the project team and ICT for problem resolution
  • Engage in discussions concerning SPPID database setup and execution
  • Record all requested changes to reference data
  • Execute maintenance tasks to ensure database performance
  • Develop designer guidelines and quality assurance checklists
  • Address infrastructure challenges and escalate for resolution
  • Generate line lists for EPC projects and set up validation reports
  • Oversee production data through validation reports
  • Conduct random checks for validation accuracy
  • Produce constraint reports and address identified issues
  • Maintain a record of lessons learned and suggest application enhancements
  • Transfer SPPID data to other applications for project advantages
  • Establish data exchange protocols between SmartPlant applications
  • Participate in application conferences to remain informed on advancements
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Visual Basic and report configuration

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Training from Intergraph on database configuration, customization, and P&ID creation (essential)
  • Awareness of automation through Intergraph training (desirable)
