Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - £50k-£65k

Platform Recruitment is partnering with a company specializing in the development of medical and diagnostic products. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is interested in all aspects of product development, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, analysis, and manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative product concepts

• Create 3D CAD designs using Solidworks

• Build and test prototypes

• Validate designs through analysis and testing

• Lead projects and mentor junior engineers

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in taking products from concept to mass manufacture

• Strong 3D CAD skills, with expertise in Solidworks

• Background in developing medical, diagnostic, or scientific devices

• Ability to create manufacturing drawings

• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques

Benefits:

The salary will be between £50,000-£65,000 depending on experience. A generous benefits package is also available, including a strong bonus, private medical, and flexible working.
