About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peripatetic Deputy General Manager to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our care home teams across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to various care homes to provide leadership and support to our teams
  • Work closely with General Managers to implement action plans and ensure high-quality care standards
  • Take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, overseeing care standards, team motivation, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and deliver strategies to achieve business objectives and improve resident outcomes
  • Lead by example, monitoring standards through regular audits and supervised clinical practice

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential, as is evidence of continual professional development. You will also need to have experience in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments, as well as a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
