Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters and Supervisors to join our dynamic team at Aermech Ltd, a leader in the manufacturing and mechanical installation sector within the water treatment utilities industry.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Fitter or Supervisor, you will be part of a growing site-based team, engaging in a variety of challenging projects across multiple locations. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of mechanical installations.

Key Requirements:
We encourage candidates with experience in the water utilities sector to apply. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical engineering drawings for the assembly of thin wall, stainless-steel pipework (30mm to 1000mm diameter), including manufactured components, valves, and couplings.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a willingness to travel.
  • Experience using hand and power tools, laser levels, and mechanical lifting equipment.
  • Background in the water treatment sector, particularly in aeration treatment stages (for Supervisors).

For Mechanical Supervisors:
In addition to the above, you will be expected to:
  • Lead a small team of fitters, ensuring installations are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards.
  • Monitor project progress and maintain communication with project management.

Employment Details:
This is a permanent position, with opportunities for self-employed contractors based on experience.

Compensation:
  • Mechanical Supervisor: £23.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Mechanical Fitter: £18.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (50 hours per week)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CSCS

  • CPCS MEWPS
  • CPCS Crane Supervisor

All candidates will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and any further medical assessments as necessary.
