About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Finance Analyst to join our dynamic and ever-growing finance team at EG Group. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior operations managers and provide valuable commercial insights, reports, and analysis to support business decision-making while optimizing and challenging financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business partnering with key stakeholders and senior operations managers to drive commercial growth and improve financial performance.
- Identifying and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions and optimize financial performance.
- Preparing weekly trading reports and dashboards to provide insights into business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Developing and presenting monthly presentations on trading performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting data to enhance financial performance and decision-making.
- Working closely with the management accounts team to understand monthly performance by brand, site, and location.
- Reviewing P&L cost items on a regular basis to develop an understanding of the cost base and presenting key trends.
- Providing support and logical data to improve and influence decision-making.
- Quarterly forecasting and budget preparation to ensure accurate financial planning and forecasting.
- Other analysis or tasks as requested by the CFO, Finance Director, or Financial Controller.
Candidate Requirements:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with a strong commercial finance background.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss numbers with senior members of the finance function, including the CEO and CFO.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong commercial finance and business acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights to inform business decisions.
- Analytical and adaptable with good attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Multi-site experience within hospitality or retail is desirable but not essential.
