Maintenance Technician

Yolk Recruitment is working with a growing SME Manufacturer to find an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with experience in PLC fault finding and repair using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
The role will involve providing proactive and reactive maintenance support to both facilities and production equipment, ensuring maximum machine availability at minimum cost.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing electrical and mechanical support and knowledge on all lines within the plant
- Equipment testing, fault finding, and repair
- PLC fault finding and repair using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Ensuring maximum machine available time at least cost, through effective planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Working with other plant engineers and team leaders to achieve machine maintenance hours on planned work
- Ensuring compliance and working in a safe manner with H&S in mind
- Playing an active role in the planning, controlling, and overseeing daily routines and inspections
- Implementing a Total Quality Approach across the site
The successful candidate will have:
- Time served and qualified in an electrical/mechanical field
- Good knowledge of PLC fault finding through I/O's and laptop diagnostics
- Experience as a multiskilled technician for a minimum of 2 years
- Experience in food/drink or packaging would be advantageous
This is a great opportunity to join a growing business with a sustained period of growth, offering future progression opportunities. The base salary is circa 50,000, with overtime opportunities which could increase your salary to over 55,000.
