Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Supervisor to join our team at the Ministry of Justice. As a Community Supervisor, you will play a critical role in supervising work groups of offenders serving a community sentence, ensuring that all tasks are carried out to the best of their ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Induction sessions to ensure service users understand the task at hand and safe working practices.
  • Lead daily 'tool box' talks to motivate and support service users to complete their Orders.
  • Follow work directions within project placement files and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments to identify and manage hazards.
  • Use pro-social and motivational techniques to ensure service users complete work assigned in a disciplined and well-behaved manner.
  • Monitor attendance and promote successful completions of service users allocated to agency placements.
  • Maintain accurate records of service users and update case management systems in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to promoting Community Payback with colleagues, external agencies, and the public.
Requirements
  • Driving Licence – Category D1 Minibus
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid and willingness to undertake further training
  • IOSH L3 or equivalent and a willingness to attend further training
  • Ability to model pro-social attitudes and behaviour to service users
  • Good written communication skills
