Progressive Recruitment, a prominent player in the engineering sector, is seeking to appoint a Lead Mechanical Analysis Specialist to join their Engineering & Manufacturing division. This role is pivotal due to the ongoing expansion and a robust project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the delivery of analysis packages for specific components or the complete scope of projects, tailored to the complexity and size of the tasks.
  • Lead a team of analysis engineers and designers to ensure effective solutions are provided from initial engineering phases through to detailed design execution.
  • Offer engineering support throughout the manufacturing process until the project is handed over to the client.
Specific Duties

As a Lead Mechanical Analysis Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct precise calculations to assess the compliance of structural or mechanical components with specified codes and standards.
  • Perform analysis and calculations, focusing on the design and evaluation of mechanical systems, structures, and mechanisms.
Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of mechanical systems and structures.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as Pro-Engineer or AutoCAD/Inventor.
  • Industrial experience in finite element analysis and classical stress analysis.
  • A comprehensive understanding of static, dynamic (including vibration, modal, and seismic), and non-linear analysis.
  • A solid grasp of the strength of engineering materials.
