About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join BibliU as a Commercial Partnerships Lead, where you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth initiatives. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for building and managing key supplier relationships, collaborating with commercial partners to ensure the BibliU platform can best serve our University customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Manage BibliU's key commercial partners, ensuring strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with commercial partners, strategize, and pitch new business models and revenue streams to secure commercial agreements.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate with commercial partners to secure pricing and terms that maximize our margins.
  • Business Development: Enable business development by signing distribution agreements with new commercial partners to achieve 100% booklist coverage across all partner universities.
  • Value Proposition: Understand and articulate the value propositions of BibliU's platform and services to commercial partners, including platform demonstrations and feature Q&A sessions.
  • Contract Management: Handle our repository of commercial partners' contracts and consult with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Insights and Recommendations: Analyze content usage and sales trends from platform data to present valuable insights and strategic recommendations to top commercial partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with various departments at BibliU, including Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams, to ensure the needs of all external stakeholders are met.
  • Industry Representation: Represent BibliU in global industry conferences as required.
Requirements
  • Commercial Acumen: Excellent commercial acumen and relationship building skills.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in consulting and/or a growing tech company.
  • Presentation and Sales Skills: Presentation and sales skills, able to articulate a value proposition to senior stakeholders and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Organizational Skills: Extremely organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator, able to work with a remote team.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and able to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Know-how and confidence to speak with external stakeholders, including senior publishing executives (C-Suite etc).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Google Sheets, CRM databases such as Salesforce, and project management software such as ClickUp.
