About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gardener/Driver (Scale 3) to join our team at Enfield Council. As a key member of our Parks team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our over 100 parks and open spaces in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain playgrounds, major countryside areas, and sports play pitches to ensure they are available and enjoyable for visitors every day of the year.
  • Work under the Parks team, either independently or as part of a team, taking on physical tasks and adhering to Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Interact with the public when necessary, providing excellent customer care and dealing with queries in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of our parks and open spaces, ensuring they remain safe and enjoyable for the community.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance is desirable.
  • Basic horticultural machinery knowledge is desirable.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety is essential.
  • Driving licence allowing up to 3.5 tonne (transit tipper) - preferably with experience driving in a London Borough.
  • Ability to take and understand clear instructions.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to complete physical tasks unsupervised.
  • Customer Care experience / dealing with public is desirable.
  • Ability to work within a team or as a lone worker.
