Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at News UK. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of supplier telephone calls, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of supplier telephone calls and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Process invoices and ensure accuracy at all times, including checking for any final demands and reminders received from suppliers.
- Coding of supplier invoices for certain areas of the business and management of key supplier accounts.
- Preparation of urgent lists and management of various mailboxes to ensure queries are dealt with on a timely basis.
- Validation in OCR of PO and Non PO Invoices and raising internal ZL & ZJ journals and document reversals as required.
- Processing adhoc invoices, including Capex, Fast Entry, Foreign, and monthly memo's, and input of miscellaneous payment requests.
- Processing of upload accounts, including SPS, Amex, and Commercial.
Requirements
- Good Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- Accurate and attention to detail.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Multiskilled to provide cover as and when required.
- Previous experience of using SAP, VIM, and OCR would be useful but not essential.
