Finance Manager / Project Accountant

Cotech Building Careers is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of our construction and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all financial activities related to construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate project feasibility, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Coordinate with accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Implement and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in the construction or development industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Solid understanding of construction project management principles, including cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading and developing finance teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in finance and construction.
