Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Development and Programmes at Landmark Faith Recruiting Solutions Ltd. This is a key role that requires a strong leader to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Programme Managers and Officers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of international development programmes, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Provide effective support and encouragement to the team through leadership, good practice, and policy development.
  • Work closely with the Director of International Programmes to lead the team, aligning with strategic objectives and plans.
  • Manage a portfolio of work, delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective projects, including monitoring, evaluation, and assessment.
  • Develop and implement a flexible Management Information System (MIS) to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Monitor the overall financial position of the programmes and identify potential media stories, case studies, and fundraising opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Programme Funding and Managers to secure new funding avenues, both domestically and internationally.
  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality funding applications, liaising with relevant teams and departments.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of international development programmes, adhering to Christian values and principles.

Requirements

  • Significant people management experience, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing international development programmes.
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in participatory monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment.
  • Ability to travel internationally for up to 8 weeks per year.
  • Sympathy with Christian values, although not necessarily a practising Christian.
