About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
- Develop and maintain general and specialist knowledge of nursing practice relevant to the clinical area.
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
- Respond to emergency situations with composure and maintain patient safety.
- Identify and discuss patient needs with the team and multidisciplinary team to plan individualized care.
- Demonstrate a problem-solving approach to effectively execute planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care.
- Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
- Registered nurse (part 1, 8, 12, or 15 of register depending on area of practice)
- UK recognized Degree in Nursing relevant to post
Desirable
- Post-graduate qualification related to an area of practice
- Competent to administer intravenous medicines
