Role Overview
As a Claims Management Specialist, you will oversee a diverse array of claims within a designated portfolio of commercial clients. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all claims progress efficiently and reach the best possible outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Promptly notifying relevant insurers of claims, determining applicable coverage, and guiding clients through necessary disclosures or data collection processes.
- Managing claims from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to settlement, advocating for clients to safeguard their interests throughout the process.
- Offering expert advice, technical analysis, and support to clients to ensure the seamless advancement of claims.
- Collaborating with insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders, including internal service teams.
- Diligently managing electronic claim files, ensuring all correspondence and deadlines are met within service level agreements (SLA).
- Attending claims review meetings and preparing claims experience reports as needed.
- Assisting colleagues and internal stakeholders with technical inquiries related to coverage or claim amounts.
- Proven experience in handling Cross Class Insurance Claims, particularly in core areas such as Property, Construction All Risks (CAR), Casualty, and ideally some familiarity with Product Liability. Experience in Financial Lines is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- A commitment to mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient negotiation skills.
