About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist to join our team at ISS. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for everyone who interacts with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage access and egress of the client building, including administering the booking system for Visitor Management, Meeting Rooms, and Desk Bookings.
  • Patrol the client's facility, dealing promptly with any suspicious incidents that may occur onsite.
  • Attend to all incidents and act as a first line response in emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents inside the clients' building when called upon for assistance.
  • Escalate, communicate, and report any incidents with the appropriate persons, Communications Centre, Line-manager, Regional Operations Manager, and emergency services when necessary.
  • Deal with any visitors to site in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Log and report issues to the Helpdesk, providing all required details and updating the client (as needed) and escalate as required to the relevant persons.
  • Monitor the site from a H&S and Security aspect, identifying and reporting any shortcomings to line-management.
  • Liaise with visitors and contractors, ensuring they are all inducted to site and that any shortcomings are rectified.
  • Operate the CCTV network cameras and maintain the videotape management system.
  • Deal with general queries made by the wider ISS team or client as and when necessary.
  • Handle and record all lost and found property onsite.
  • Monitor the car-park in-flow levels, disabled parking, and redirection of visitors where necessary.
  • Carry out any reasonable request as directed by a line management.
  • Delivery of mail room services to help meet the customer's needs and in line with building processes and procedures.
  • Ensure no security and data breaches happen within your area of control.
  • Highlight any areas of improvement within your service delivery.
  • Be an active participant within ISS's H&S processes, 10at10/Team Board meeting, and Account Calls.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist who has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will have:

  • Fantastic customer service skills and a willingness to take it to the next level.
  • A social and welcoming personality and the ability to engage with everyone professionally.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A considerate and empathetic approach to dealing with others.
  • Experience working with relevant systems (e.g., MS Office).
  • Screening in accordance with BS7858, SIA licensed, and hold in-date certifications.
  • Emergency 1st Aid at Work certification or a willingness to undertake relevant training.
