We are in search of a proficient PSV Engineer/Mechanic to become a vital part of our maintenance team at the Darlington Depot. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and involves the servicing and repair of our PCV vehicles. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Position Overview:

  • Work on a rotating schedule of 5 days out of 7
  • Attractive hourly wage with opportunities for overtime
  • Perform maintenance and repairs in accordance with Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Drive continuous enhancement of vehicle quality
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT assessments
  • Identify and resolve vehicle issues to ensure reliability

Requirements:

  • Possess recognized qualifications in PSV/HGV maintenance
  • Capable of working independently while adhering to established protocols
  • Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous
  • Holding a PCV license is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to conduct vehicle inspections for scheduled maintenance
