We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our team at Rolls-Royce. As a key member of our Submarines business, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and delivery of high-integrity firmware applications for our nuclear propulsion-related products and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop VHDL and Verilog HDL code using Sigasi Studio
- Simulate HDL designs at unit, integration, and system level using Mentor Graphics QuestaSIM
- Undertake synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis using Synopsis Synplify, targeting Xilinx FPGAs
- Develop Python scripts for process automation
- Manage change control and configuration management using GIT
- Experience in digital electronics design
- Planning and organizing own and others' work
- Strong understanding of firmware development lifecycle and DevOps principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
