Job Opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at LINKS RECRUITMENT GROUP. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repairs on production machinery, ensuring optimal equipment performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  2. Work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
  3. Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  4. Collaborate with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment, enhancing overall maintenance efficiency.
  5. Ensure that general building and facilities maintenance is carried out to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  6. Support the introduction of new machinery and products, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to production.
  7. Work closely with other internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in an engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role.
  2. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  3. Multi-skilled abilities, with the capacity to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
  4. Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with a strong understanding of PLC systems, specifically Siemens S7 and Mitsubishi.
  5. Ability to perform both proactive and reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
  6. IOSH working safely/ managing safely certification is desirable but not essential.
