Position Overview

Commercial Vehicle Technician | Flexible Shift Patterns | Competitive Hourly Rate | Potential Earnings Between £38,000 - £42,000

Talent Finder is a leading provider in the commercial vehicle sector, specializing in rental services, sales, and maintenance across the UK and Europe. We are seeking a skilled technician to join our dynamic team.

Are You the Ideal Candidate?

  • Preferred qualifications include NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in commercial vehicle maintenance; however, we are open to training the right individual to achieve this qualification.
  • Experience with HGV, LGV, and trailer systems is advantageous, but we welcome candidates with relevant transferable skills.
  • A valid Tachograph calibration certification is a plus, with training available for those who need it.
  • Possession of a Class 1 Driving License and IRTE technician accreditation is beneficial, with opportunities for training and certification provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT in accordance with DVSA standards.
  • Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs.
  • Respond to breakdowns during working hours, with additional support available outside of these hours.
  • Opportunity to cover shifts during holidays at an overtime rate.
