Role Overview:

The SEN Secondary Education Support Specialist is responsible for assisting students with special educational needs within a secondary school environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored support to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Implementing individual education plans effectively.
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
Essential Qualifications:

A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is mandatory. Candidates must possess strong communication abilities, patience, and a caring demeanor.

Educational Requirements:

A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in education or special educational needs is essential.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with children or young individuals with special educational needs is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of special educational needs practices, the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting the educational growth of students with special needs.

Desirable Qualifications:
