Job Overview

Mitie Telecoms is seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Engineer - Climber to join our Maintenance & Reactive team in the Torquay area.

This role requires a Telecoms trained climber who can work independently or as part of a climbing pair/team. Training can be provided for the right candidate, but proficiency in climbing and working at height is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks on Telecoms sites.
  • Perform minor reactive maintenance work as necessary.
  • Participate in a callout rota with additional remuneration.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of cabin and compound.
  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's policies and procedures, as well as statutory and legislative requirements.

Requirements:

  • UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • RF Awareness Certification.
  • Advanced Climbing Certification.
  • Rooftop Safety Awareness.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • First Aid at Height.
  • Tower Rescue.
  • NRSWA.
  • First Aid at Work Certification.
  • Ladder Safety.
  • Fitness to Climb Medical Certificate.
  • Latchways certification qualifications desirable.
