Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Wiltshire-based Secondary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's curriculum support team in providing assistance to students across all age ranges and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support specific students through their daily school life
  • Assist class teachers in the general delivery of lessons
  • Work collaboratively with the SEN and wider school staffing team
  • Understand various SEND and how to support these in the school environment
  • Contribute to creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Understand and comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • At least a Grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • A passion for delivering high-quality educational experiences for children and supporting their development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of pupils, staff, and parents
  • Self-motivation, dedication, and consistency
  • Ability to deal with new and challenging situations
  • Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Confident, resilient, and flexible attitude
  • Organized and enthusiastic approach
  • Experience working with children/young people in a school environment (desirable)
