Job Title: Building Surveyor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our Civil Engineering sector, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of project costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.
  • Implement precise measurement and valuation processes for all aspects of groundworks projects.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates on project financial status, whilst identifying any cost overruns and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions and project-related documentation.

Requirements:

  • A background in the civil engineering sector is essential for this role, ideally in groundworks civil engineering subcontracting.
  • Proven track record in project quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management and contract administration.
  • Strong understanding on construction contracts, including JCT and NEC.
