The Business Manager is a key role within Anthem Schools Trust, responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of the business functions of our school. This includes financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance, and administration.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management & Control
- Financial Monitoring: Collaborate with the Head Teacher/Principal to manage the academy's finances, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Transactional Processing: Work with the School/Academy Finance Officer to process financial transactions efficiently and effectively.
- Financial Control: Ensure compliance with the Anthem Financial Handbook and maintain accurate financial records.
- Facilities & Estates Management
- Work with the school/academy and ACST facilities team leaders to maintain the School/Academy Asset Management plan.
- Support the ACST and school Facilities Team to ensure effective site maintenance and security throughout the school/academy estate.
- Human Resources & Compliance
- Implement the Academy's HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust procurement policy and guidelines.
- Monitor the way policies and procedures are actioned and provide support where necessary.
- Community & Marketing
- Support the promotion and marketing of the Academy in the local community.
- Ensure effective lines of communication are maintained between the Academy and families/local residents.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in business operations, financial management, and human resources. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
The Business Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the school's business functions, working closely with the Head Teacher/Principal, ACST colleagues, and other stakeholders to achieve this goal.
