Commercial Officer Job Description

The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Officer to join our team in Stevenage. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a vital role in delivering Defence Capability to the UK Armed Forces and other customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Delivery: You will be responsible for ensuring the business meets its promises to customers, including contract management tasks, change management, problem solving, and administration.
  • Relationship Building: You will build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and industry partners, focusing on collaboration and commercial understanding.
  • Commercial Expertise: You will have a broad range of commercial skills, including contract management skills throughout the contract lifecycle, and a good understanding of IT and business tools, including SAP.
  • Risk Management: You will have a good understanding of liabilities and mitigating risk, and be able to provide commercial advice to the team.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience in a similar role
  • Contract management skills throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Good understanding of IT and business tools, including SAP
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
